Why is my HD TV turn pink when I use my DVD player?

I have a new Panasonic Plasma TV, and I just hung my drive DVD through component cables. but when I turn the DVD player on its pink. I tried using the normal input (the only yellow cord) and afterwards he was fine, so the normal HDTV. then I went back to the component and it was pink again. Are there settings on my TV / DVD palyer I might need to go to solve this problem? Thank you

I think one of three things 1. you do not have the component cables connected perfectly. Check connections at both ends. 2. you have a bad component cable. exchange it with another cable to see if you have the same problem. 3. port component is bad or the DVD player or television. try the DVD player via component with the same cable on another TV. if this is not rosy out there, chances are you have a problem with the component input on the Panasonic.
